....GOODBYE?!

After a long internal debate, I have decided to close The Plastic Cake Art Factory. It was a very difficult decision, but one that was a long time in coming. I have reached a point where art was not very fun for me anymore. It became a chore.. not an escape. And I always said that the nanosecond that happened, I would reconsider my path. That time has come. So! I have decided that I am going to take the remainder of 2012 and the entirety of 2013 to fall in love again. You know, do art just for the sake of doing art.

I'm not sure where this break will lead me. I'm not even sure if I will try to become a working artist again. Maybe I'm just a hobbyist. Who knows!? But I really want to find out. Next year will afford me that opportunity. Kind of giddy to have this new unrestricted adventure! I'm already expanding into areas of art that I have never ventured before. Fun!

And while I am closing this particular site, I will still have an online presence. I have set up a deviantArt account (there's nothing there... yet!) and I'm considering creating a new personal site. Plus, you can always find me on Twitter! :)

An ENORMOUS thank you to everyone who supported me over the last couple of years - particularly those folks who thought my art was good enough to purchase. You helped my confidence in ways I can not express. <3

Cheers!

K.
