About

Kristine AstopMy name is Kristine Astop and I’m the girl behind The Plastic Cake Art Factory.

I am a pin-up artist and illustrator currently residing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with my canine beast, Ripley. I have a background realistic portraiture and acrylic painting. I am pursuing a career in the field of pin-up illustration and art. While my current focus is the female form, I draw a lot of my inspiration from tattoos, comics, science fiction, fantasy, and other wonderfully nerdy stuff.

My goal is to express that women are fantastically amazing creatures that are beautiful no matter the size, age, shape, or colour. They can be sexy, funny, titillating, naughty, dorky, innocent and the raunchiest of raunchy. And it’s my job to capture that with a bit of sassy quirk and a bold cartoon style.

If you want a pin-up girl to call your own or, better still, if you want to be a pin-up girl, I might be the humanoid for the job! Drop me a line! You can also find me on Twitter and Facebook!
